Originally from Scotland, Federsen (Chris kelly) now lives near San
Francisco in California.
he has spent the past 15 years experimenting with various forms of
electronic music writing.
After spending many years building obscure and secretive forms of modular
sound synthisis and reading Psychoacoustic and Carl Sagan books, Federsen
can be now be found near SETI radio telescopes around California.
Here he is hoping to be the first to detect (and use in a track) a signal
of another civilisation from the microwave spectrum of deep space.
Once he has found this sound he aims to run it through a Roland Space Echo
to search for exotic sound waves that are unachievable with earth based
sounds.
