Marco M Bernd
marco was born in 1977 and raised in the rheingau area, one of germany’s
most beautiful regions by the river rhine, known for it’s ancient castles and
old legends.
He got into art and music since he was a young boy.
In 1991 marco first got in touch with techno & house, as he accidentally trapped in an
electronic music recordstore. after first clubbing-experiences, fascinated by
the energy of the early techno scene and in the sphere of influence of
frankfurt and the rhein-main area, he started to deejay.
Soon marco played his
first weekly dj-residency in a small club near his home town.
after an internship in a recording-studio he bought first equipment and
started experimenting on own tracks. at this time marco recorded a lot of livesessions
with classic synths and drumcomputers and developed a passion
for the analogue sound and trackbased recording.
In 2000 he released his first 12†vinyl record under a pseudonym. 2001 marco
moved to giessen in germany and started working for the longrunning
electronic music store downtown records, established in 1991. here and there
he also worked for the freebase recordshop in frankfurt.
his current productions are mainly focussed on deep dub-influenced techno
and working with vintage feeling sounds. marco m. bernd performs as dj. his
sets reach from deep & dubby to hypnotic & rocking, always with the focus
on combining modern clubtrends with the dub influence, in order to
transportate the dub-techno-sound to the dancefloor.
