If you love the subdued atmosphere and electronic music done well, then you can not go on that www.deepindub.org, where techno and house meet the dub, creating something that rubs her temples and caresses your ear, causing much pleasure.
The site is well maintained, few netlabels have an interface like this project created by mr. Maurizio Miceli and company sounding from the base of Venice.
On that site, there are the productions of the Deep in Dub, which are up to date 37, with the latest installment of the beautiful ep L_cio “Aidni” which moves the minimal and deep into the territories with forays into more exotic melodies and sounds Eastern very remarkable.
Qualitatively all catalog deserves attention, and the proof is the use that make the various DJs around the net, just look at the tracklist of the mix out these days on Mixotic of Larsson, who uses mostly spare Dublicator, maybe l ‘most interesting artists of the catalog, but it is hard to decide.
Very interesting is also the mix, often by guests, such as Foton, or same-Maurizio.
These selections are the best that deep techno has to offer.
The deep techno is a genre little known in Italy, and as said boss Maurice netlabel, is used more by professionals, who may Reisch to introduce the most popular in environments such as Italian clubs.
Certainly if you feel or if you follow the work of someone who has a netlabel electronic Italian, you will be amazed how tall is the highest quality and passion, and there Can you explain why then I hear touches around a lot of crap.
Yet this is the beauty of netlabels, or discover, explore and enjoy the flowers cultivated by true music lovers, who spend time and resources to make us feel good.
Also interesting is the fact that the dub, he left as usual from Jamaica, have gradually gained more and more musicians, and has become one of the few universal languages, music still free, by its nature difficult to tradable, and merging with other genres has longevity and an incredible variety.
That’s because every time I hear the excellent dub, or his children, always thank the holy fathers, or the electric madman by the name of King Tubby, and that’s crazy or that of Lee Perry.
Following are un’interivsta Maurizio Miceli, in person, in addition to peddle great music and interesting people.
1) Tell us a little bit the genesis of Deep in Dub …
Deepindub born in ‘in October 2004, for personal need to have a platform where you can show off my skills as a DJ and music style, using only music published under Creative Common License.
What then was very difficult given the scarcity of netlabels then present, among whom many were too experimental for my tastes.
Thanks to my continuous research and informations at the same time, the site was gradually becomes more widely known and recognized by the community netaudio then.So that in December 2006 becomes a ‘label in all respects with the publication of the compilation “Chanting Soul” originally using 15 artists among the most elevant netaudio scene at the time.
2) The netlabels are living proof that the internet and broadband has made possible the expression of reality which otherwise would not have been able to come out, but do not think that there’s a bit of inflation?
If inflation mean that they are born again every day you’re right.
Although many last very little. In a few years the business has evolved, but few that stand out from the others in content and quality.3) Your proposal is very specific musical I think Italy is not it?
Deepindub is tilted toward the dub techno genre of electronic music is not very popular here in Italy, but proposed by many dj’s, of course, in rooms where there cerrto a type of situations … we say more club record.
4) Have you participated in major events related to netlabels? se sì com’è andata? if so how was it?
How netlabel myself participated twice a net lag of two to Freerotation Berlin and other festivals in the UK have been extraordinarily experience, a lot of satisfaction and the pleasure of talking with prominent personalities of the netaudio scene.
5) would never, as some netlabels, actually pay?
There are plenty of news for the future, even for the earliest. For now, I can only anticipate that deepindub will always be a ‘label where you can download music for free, but not slow will be also free and to buy.
6) From your experience, what would you say to a person who wants to start a netlabel spins?
Thinking about quality and not quantity.
7) the use of drugs to be important in music? Think information is more important than repression?
I think it’s always been a combination of the rocking and the music, whatever it is. If you expect me to say whether it is right or wrong thing … Well I would be trivial.
Surely we need a more detailed information. To see what can bring a regular consumption of certain drugs for a period of time is certainly more constructive of repression in any form.8 ) The site of deepindub is very well done, one of the best I’ve ever seen, is very demanding?
Thanks for the compliment! It is quite demanding and tiring, but when a thing you do with passion and gives you the satisfaction you do it back willingly.
9) I know it is a taken her, but tells a newcomer to the wonderful dub techno, something to start …
D minor, delay and reverb … well as the imagination.
10) Question dry: Italy or England for a holiday music?
England. (But I also do some questions … NDR)
Thanks Maurizio.
