Upwellings
Upwellings is a new project by Vincent Raude. This french producer and musician is working in electronics and dub music since many years. Projects like Lower Groundz, Global Purpose, S.O.U.L., & Meets give him a real experience of stage and music production in different styles like dub, experimental, reggae, drum’n'bass, jazz and improvisation…..
Born in 1979, Vincent start studying music at the age of 6 years old. Starting studies by drums and percussions, he is soon going to start guitar and electronics. Since he’s 12 years old, he’d never stop playing with bands, at the begining as a drummer, then as a guitar or bass player, and now he is playing machines most of the time….As a producer and composer, Vincent is doing music for his records (2 albums for his band Lower Groundz and soon one for the Upwellings project), but he is also writing music for dance and theatre….
This new project is trying to explore the possibilities of dub in the minimalist techno environement. Using nearly nothing to produce the sound exept one or two old analog synth and a vocoder going to ProTools….
